The Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association (TPCIGA) is a statutory guaranty body that protects Texas policyholders when licensed property-and-casualty insurers become insolvent. TPCIGA assumes specified covered claims, coordinates with the Commissioner of Insurance and appointed receivers, and administers recoveries in accordance with the Texas Insurance Code.
